Cold water and cough?
Is it ok to drink cold water or eat ice cream if you have cough?

I've been guilty with this...It does not harm though...but expect a slow recovery.

It does not harm you but recovery rate slows down, if you don't like to drink warm water then drink mildly cold water and if you want quick recovery then drink a glass of milk with 2 tablespoon of turmeric powder mixed in it.

But sometime,eating cold stuffs like ice cream is more challenging when you are coughing.

It is hard when you have a sore throat and try to eat something or drink something to relieve that. While doing so, you end up slowing the recovery process down.

I like your post about Cold water and cough, It is very helpful and interesting for every one who want to know about this topic. According to me we having cough because we drink cold water. If any one want to avoid this so i advice you do not drink cold water.

Well according to my point of view, I think that our body temperature is high then cold water so when it comes in contact with our body energy in the form of heat is transferred from body to water so it decreases our body temperature and we feel cold, this causes cough, while drinking cold water.
